Dreaming
There is a man in the garage doing some work for us, possibly decorating. As he has helped us, there is an assumption that I will fancy him. I do feel a little attracted to him.
Amelia comes over with Zoe and asks me for a new bra in time for school in the morning. I tell her it’s too late as it’s a Sunday late afternoon and all the shops are shut. She says she keeps getting goosebumps where her boobs have grown and no longer fit in her bra. She shows me her bra; it is my black-and-white pinstripe one. Mum chastises her for wearing a nursing bra. I interrupt and kindly explain that the underwire is all wrong as she’s not nursing.
I look back over the garage; the man has gone. I ask someone if he’s coming back; they say he is and that he’s just gone to get something. He has left his tea and milk by the partially open garage door, which I am now standing right by. I know he’ll be back as he has more work to do. The man reminded me of Kevin Knight.
