Dreaming
There are many people in my home, including lots of children staying over in my bed. I am looking after them all. Josh has a friend over; I want my space back, although I enjoy having them there.
Sandra is there; I know this as Sandra from thirty years ago, younger looking and with her old hairstyle. She can’t find one of her socks, so she puts on one of Ralph’s, even though it is very precious to him and he won’t want her to do it. She says he will laugh about it.
I need to go downstairs; I am holding the hands of two girls. The stairs are made up entirely of books. It is difficult to make our way down, but I realise that by holding the baby in my arms and holding only the hand of the older girl, it would be more manageable. Still, we have to tread carefully so as not to fall.

Responding
I wonder if the part of the dream where Sandra put on Ralph’s sock even though it’s precious to him indicates me disrespecting things that are precious to others, always seeing them as a joke.
Maybe the part about coming down the stairs is about my journey down into my psyche; the books indicating what I am learning as I go down – it is hard to get down sometimes. Maybe I need to ‘hold’ myself lovingly in my arms, hold hands with myself, and care for myself to achieve it?
