Dreaming

I am in the living room. I pull up an area of the carpet to reveal a beautiful wooden floor. I say to Tom that we should pull it all up, as we now have the floor we want. As I look closer, I can see there are actually more layers of carpet to pull up. I begin to do so; I pull up carpet after carpet, stuffing them into a suitcase as I go, although they appear to be duvets and pillows now rather than carpet. My mum is there and is imparting words of wisdom to me.

Tom is going to work in Manchester or Liverpool for the night, and I want to go and stay in the hotel with him. I need someone to look after the children so I can go. I think of asking Susie, but it turns out she is going to Liverpool, too, and has asked Mum to look after her children. Susie can’t help me and neither can Mum. I don’t feel that anyone else will be able to help. I am really disappointed as it means I won’t be able to go.

I am in a hospital for an appointment. I ask where I have to wait and am told to go into a room, which I do. My appointment is at half past nine. I wait for ages, but no one calls my name; I am the only one waiting to be seen. I go out into the corridor, and someone says that they didn’t realise they’d forgotten me and to go up to the desk and tell them.

The hospital is also now a school. I am with Toby and Heather. I decide to try out jogging/running as I have nothing to lose. Heather and Toby run with me, and I find that it’s actually really easy and really fun. I am attracted to Toby, but I know he doesn’t feel the same towards me. Heather really likes Toby and has dressed nicely in a long dress of pinks and lilacs, as a fairy or princess. We are running up and down hallways looking for something. We reach an area which appears to be an entrance or exit meeting place. I ask Toby about his girlfriend; he says that although she’s always been ugly, he could only see beauty for the first six months, as he was in love with her then. Now all he sees is her ugliness, but he won’t leave her. We all go outside to a field where a musical is taking place; there are teachers around, mainly on the grass.
