Buried

Dreaming

I am in the living room with Amelia and Rosie. I ask them to watch Annie while I go to the toilet. I go into the bathroom, sit on the toilet and have a poo. When I’m finished, I flush the toilet. Although it flushes, afterwards, the water laps over the top of the toilet and down the side. I look down the toilet and can see something there. I realise I’m going to have to put my hand down to fish it out; I don’t want to, but I do it anyway. I place my hand in the toilet and pull the object out. It is a nappy – a clean, unused one. I look around the room; the bathroom is much bigger now, there is a dustbin further ahead in the room, which I put the nappy into. I go back to the toilet; there is another nappy in the water. I pull that out too. Each time I remove one, another one appears; none of them have been used. I wonder if Annie has been putting them down there. As I pull the nappies out, the water level becomes lower and lower. Eventually I have pulled out 23 nappies. There is still something blocking the toilet; it is a magazine. I remove that too, but there are more. The toilet is much larger now, and I have to put my arm right in, and then I climb into the toilet and put my head under the rim to see what else is left. I manage to pull out a further three magazines and one book. The water starts to come back in now and rises to normal level. I climb back out, a little scared that my head might not fit and that I might get stuck. I need to wash my hands, but I don’t get around to it.

I go outside to an area I don’t recognise. Tom is there. I can see something on my left arm – a black insect. Tom comes over and tells me I have something on my face; it is a leech from the toilet. He removes it and shows it to me. I realise the thing on my arm is the same. I go to remove it, but it’s no longer there; in its place is a slight black dot under the skin. I realise it has buried itself under my skin. I scratch at it to remove it, but it stays put. My hands still need washing, and I’m very aware of this.

I am with Amelia entering a shop. She is eating a bowl of cereal out of a white bowl. She drops it in the entrance. There is a female shop assistant in the far left corner of the shop; I don’t think she has seen. I know we should clean it up, but we leave it there, walk through the shop and exit at a door at the opposite end of the shop, next to the shop assistant. Through the door, we are in a taxi; it feels like we’re in another world. We get out to be greeted by a large flower stall run by children; it has a very innocent feel to it. Amelia wants to get some flowers and looks around the stall. I spot the most beautiful, delicate, very pale pink flowers. They are stunning, and I think to myself that everyone will want these for their wedding if they see them. Their beauty amazes me. I look around some more until I see another flower that I really like; it is a deep purple going through to white at the ends. It is really nice. I want to have this one. I walk around some more to see what other flowers would go well with the purple. I see some red berries and lots of other flowers, but nothing that I think will go well with the purple flower. Amelia is feeling a bit stressed, but overall we’re very happy and relaxed.
